Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Vasileff completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan — a nationally recognized program where he also served as the Arthroscopy Simulator Curriculum Director and faculty advisor for medical student orthopedic and sports medicine interest groups.
Dr. Vasileff earned his Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and his Bachelor of Science in Brain Behavior and Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan.

Clinical Focus
Dr. Vasileff's clinical focus is shoulder reconstruction and sports medicine. His fellowship at Steadman Hawkins provided intensive subspecialty training in complex shoulder pathology — including rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement, shoulder instability, and SLAP repairs — as well as ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery, and sports-related knee conditions.
He has provided orthopedic sports coverage for teams ranging from Division I collegiate football at Clemson University to North Carolina high school athletics, giving him firsthand experience with the demands athletes place on their bodies and what it takes to safely return them to competition.
